Female Drummers

Drums isn't just a man thing. It's pretty cool for females too. Here are 3 drummers making a name for themselves

Senri Kawaguchi

Senri is from Nagoya, Japan. Born in 1997 she studied with a famous Japanese drums teacher called Suganuma. She first received huge acclaim for her youtube performances, contests and then live  shows with the Fusion band Fragile, releasing her debut DVD "Horoscope". She was last seen in the middle of her studies in high school. So be ready when she actually graduates! An amazing player. Check out the links.

Meytal Cohen

Meytal is another big name that made a crossover from youtube to the real world. Born in Israel, she didn't start playing till she was 18 years old, That same year, she graduated from high school and then had to do her compulsory National Service for 2 years with the Israeli Defense Force. They are a pretty tough bunch the Israelis! I wouldn't be surprised if she could kill you in 5 different ways! After the army bit she moved to Los Angeles to attend the LA Music Academy. She began uploading videos to youtube and the rest is history, as they say.
